A Triumph of Willpower: Wockhardt Hospitals Saves 71-Year-Old Patient from Aortic Stenosis

Mrs. Sugandha Jadhav, a 71-year-old patient, demonstrated remarkable determination and strength when she was diagnosed with Type 2 respiratory failure, bronchial asthma, old TB, and severe aortic stenosis (AS) and left ventricular dysfunction (EF-15%). Despite the high risks, Mrs. Jadhav chose to undergo open heart surgery, and with the help of Dr. Gulshan Rohra and the experienced team of doctors at Wockhardt Hospitals, Mumbai Central, she received successful treatment.

Dr. Rohra said, “Mrs. Jadhav’s case was challenging, and the risks to life and prolonged ventilation were high. However, we took the necessary precautions and planned meticulously before taking her for open heart surgery. Our team of doctors worked tirelessly to replace the diseased valve with a new one, and we were delighted to see her recover quickly and lead a healthy life.”

Mrs. Jadhav said, “I cannot thank the team of doctors and staff at Wockhardt Hospitals, Mumbai Central, enough for their expertise, care, and support during my treatment. I had my doubts, but my faith in them and my will to live helped me overcome my fears. Today, I am grateful for this second chance and am leading a fulfilling life with my loved ones.”
