Merck to Recognise Young Scientists in India with 2023 Merck Young Scientist Award
Merck, a pioneer in science and technology, continues its tradition of appreciating and encouraging scientific intellect through the third edition of the Merck Young Scientist Award 2023. It is set to honor 10 groundbreaking researchers, highlighting the vital role of science in shaping the future of India and the world.
Candidates with less than 10 years of post-Ph.D. research experience affiliated with a research institute in India are eligible for this award. The focus for this year’s award lies in three areas: Biological Sciences, Chemical Sciences, and a newly introduced category of Sustainability Research.
The decision to add Sustainability Research as a distinct category demonstrates Merck’s commitment to nurturing research that leads to a sustainable future. This sentiment was echoed by Mr. Dhananjay Singh, Head of Science and Lab Solutions, Merck Life Science, who asserted that sustainability is a key pillar of scientific research.
