Leadership Shake-Up at DSM-Firmenich After Merger with Firmenich International
As DSM-Firmenich AG completes its merger with Firmenich International SA on 8 May 2023, the company’s Board of Directors has decided to restructure its leadership. The Co-CEO arrangement will be replaced, with Dimitri de Vreeze taking on the role of CEO and Ralf Schmeitz stepping in as CFO, effective 1 September 2023.
Geraldine Matchett, who has been a driving force behind DSM’s success and the merger with Firmenich, will leave the company on 1 September to pursue other career opportunities. Thomas Leysen, Chairman of DSM-Firmenich, thanked Matchett for her exceptional work and wished her well in her future endeavors.
Ralf Schmeitz, a seasoned professional in Finance & Control, Treasury, Taxation, and M&A, will join the Executive Committee of DSM-Firmenich as CFO on 1 September 2023. Leysen expressed confidence in Dimitri de Vreeze’s leadership and welcomed Schmeitz to his new role as CFO.
